| Millfield Nursery School was
established in April 1989 and is situated within a large delightful
rural setting between the villages of Cropwell Butler and Tythby
in the Vale of Belvoir.
The nursery has 40 places for children aged two to five years
old. The spacious facilities consist of three large rooms, each
offering a different type of play opportunity for the children.
The nursery is unusual in that we do not separate the children by
age. We feel our children benefit in many ways because of
this:
- Young children learn many early developmental skills
by playing with their older peers
- Brother and sisters often attend nursery together - they
may play together if they wish
- Older children benefit from learning caring skills towards
their younger peers
- We feel that children need to develop in their own way,
rather than in a pre-determined environment.
By offering three large rooms for all the children to share,
they can develop in their own way and at
their own pace.
We have extensive outdoor facilities with an abundance of
tempting outdoor play equipment set within bark chipped, paved
and lawn areas.
We maintain high ratios of highly qualified and experienced
staff members which offers the highest standard of care and
early years education for all children attending the nursery.
