If the 23rd falls during a weekend, the nursery will close on the Friday prior to the 23rd December. Fees are payable throughout the year including Bank Holidays, with the exception of when the nursery is closed during the four day Christmas period (i.e. 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th December. No charge is made for these four days). Fees are reviewed on the 1st April each year.

Visits – During the settling-in process we offer your child the opportunity to have some free visits, prior to taking up his/her place, followed by two introductory sessions lasting two hours each (these are charged at an hourly rate of £7.00).

Help with your nursery fees

Nursery Education Grant

Any child between the ages of 3 (the term after their third birthday) and 5 (the term in which their fifth birthday falls) is eligible to receive the Nursery Education Grant which will reduce your monthly fees accordingly for up to 15 hours per week. Millfield will claim the grant on your behalf and deduct it from your fees.

Under the Nursery Education Grant Scheme - some free childcare places are available. Please contact us for details.

Employer Childcare Vouchers

Childcare Vouchers are a tax efficient scheme to provide working parents with tax free funds towards paying for childcare. Every working parent is entitled to use between £97 and £243 per month tax free from gross salary towards their childcare costs in the form of Childcare Vouchers. The funds are collected from gross salary by the employer and sent to the company they have chosen to operate the scheme, who will process and pay them over to the employee's nominated childcare provider. Vouchers can be used for children aged 0-15 years, (or 16 years if their child has a disability) to pay towards registered nurseries / playgroups / child-minders /after school and breakfast clubs / holiday play schemes / nannies and certain elements of private school fees.
