Thanks so much to everyone for joining us this morning for our second sports morning for our older children. It was lovely to welcome so many parents and grandparents to cheer the children on!! The children all joined in with much excitement and enthusiasm and we had lots of traditional races ☺ The sack race, egg and spoon, quoits on the head, walking backwards, water relay, running races and the shopping trolley race. 

Well done to all the brave parents who took part in our parent sack races 👏 

All the children were presented with medals at the end and a big thank you to Evie, our sports coach and all the wonderful Millfield team for organising all the events 🏅☺

We began our gardening topic back in the spring and the children are all delighted to watch everything growing so well. We are growing cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, courgettes and potatoes to eat and have grown some sweet peas and sunflowers 🥔🥕🥒🌻 The children have loved watering and weeding and have helped to harvest some cabbages and potatoes. A big thank you to one of the wonderful Millfield team for giving the children these special opportunities ☺

We held the first of our two sports mornings today. The younger children took part in a wide variety of activities and had great fun. It was wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents joining us and well done to the brave parents who took part in the parent races! A big thank you to the staff team for all their hard work this morning and a massive well done to all the children. It's the older children's turn next week!!☺🏅

A massive thank you to the team from Cotgrave Police Station who visited Millfield yesterday with a police van and car ☺The children had an exciting morning exploring the vehicles, listening to the sirens and dressing up in the police uniforms. Charlie, our resident alpaca was on hand as always to join in with the fun! 👮‍♀️👮🚓

It's World Book Day today and celebrating it's 25th Year! We've had a day full of fun and the children arrived in some wonderful costumes all based on their favourite story or nursery rhyme . The staff all joined in with the fun too - enjoy these lovely photographs ☺📖
